Under the Second Covenant Hamakhis was made supmere judge of the dead souls to determine to which lords their souls shall reside with.
But Bukrai had many hooks into Hamakhis and he was forced to consume those souls who followed him to feed Bukrai's hunger. Soon Hamakhis began to instruct his followers to slay all those who violate the law, in order to feed him more souls. But even that couldn't make him satite Bukrai's hunger so Hamakhis started to instruct his followers to start the sacrifice.

So Hamakhis looked out into world and found in east the lands of the Sarnic. At that time the Sarnic were a war-like people continually fighting among themselves. They originally followed Set but the constant warring reduce their number and they were in danger of being permently conquered.
Hamakhis began to send them his remaining followers and teaching them the ways of law and order. Also he taught them to sacrifice a seventh part of those they conquered to bring glory to Hamakhis. But the other races surrounding the Sarnic formed a great allinance against them and where determined to totally destroy the Sarnic from the face of the earth. Hamakhis secretly lead the Sarnic west from their lands to seek a new home in the west. When the Sarnic's enemies can they only found abandoned towns, and empty fields.
Hamakhis brought the them to Orchia at the end of the Padizan Pennisula. There he bade them to settle there and he raised for them the Isle of the Blest off the shores of Orchia to be the center of his worship.
A New Land
The Patriarchs of each city of the Sarnic were killed, their temples ravaged and treasure taken to the Emperor in far away Ghinor. Thousands of the people of Sarnic were put to the torch as the holy Church of Mitra was determined to destroy the Church. But soon the attentions of the empire started to focus elsewhere. The inquisitions came fewer and fewer. While the Ghinorian Governors never permitted open worship; the followers of Hamakhis slowly recoved.
However Hamakhis knew that he would never be able to recover his people from the Lion's claws unless he could give something more than the Lion could. So in the depths and darkness of the Ghinorian oppcupation he nutured several prophets to spread the word that Hamakhis will offer everlasting life in the state of undeath.
Holy war and Empire
The greatest of the Sarnic Lords, Vecna of Rallu, journied to the Hall of Judgement in a great quest. There from the hands of Hamakhis himself he recieved the Cworn of all Sarnia and the right to rule in Hamakhis's name. The Sarnic Empire spread Hamakhis's word far and wide and the name of Hamakhis became feared in all the lands surrounding Sarnia.
But the Ghinorian Empire recovered and struck back, after a war of one hundred years the two empires drew back in a truce, that soon became permenent. On a evil and fell day more fanatical followers of Hamakhis who wanted to return to the old ways before the Ghinorians, killed Vecna for the seventh and last time. The lords could not agreed among themselves who was to be emperor, no one wanted Kas the greatest of Vecna's generals. Kas struck attempting to kill all the lords and become emperor. But the lords escaped and soon civil war brought down the Sarnic empire.
Rebirth and Gworth beyond Sarnia

Angered the lords and patriarchs seized Pegana and adminstered to him the "Seven Deaths".
As the last part of the ritual they untied Pegana to let his body fall to the ground to show the death was final, but Pegana did not fall and walked forth. Quaking in fear the lords and patriarchs fell back. Pegana said
With those words the Seven Horsemen appeared behind Pegana and killed every lord and patriarch in the room and then proceeded to kill a seventh part of all of Sarnia. After the Great Death Pegana estabilshed his Order, bade them to wear the white robes, and to keep their judgement to the words of Hamakhis and disappeared. Legend has it that he was last seen riding along the shores of the Lake of Silver on a pale horse.
Under the guidance of the Order of Pegana the lands of Sarnia and the Church experienced a new rebirth and prosperity that continues today.
